Empowering Through Literacy

About Us

We have been working with the Craigmillar community to support people’s literacy skills since 1998. We work with babies, children, young people, parents and carers and other adults to achieve our vision that every person is empowered through literacy in the community of Craigmillar.

Community

Craigmillar is a community in the east of Edinburgh. It is a vibrant, diverse community with a long history of community arts, activism and people supporting each other. It is home to the magnificent Craigmillar Castle and several beautiful green spaces. Our work takes place in the communities of Craigmillar, Niddrie, Bingham and Magdalene.

Funders

Our work is supported by a diverse range of funders. We are grateful for their support and for the support we receive from local businesses and individuals.
