Craigmillar Stories for Sharing encourages a fun and creative approach to literacy through storytelling.
Children aged 4-12 and parents/carers can explore and discover stories, books, reading and writing together.
We work in partnership with local organisations and deliver the project in community settings across the Craigmillar area. We make space to allow children to shape and influence the programme.
We believe that as children grow, the stories they experience can take many forms, which encourages empathy and a sense of belonging. They also develop their imaginations as well as their understanding and vocabulary.
